Cellulite is often situated in the lower region of the body, normally in the thighs and buttocks. Even though there is no known cure, one of the best methods of reducing cellulite is by using specific exercises for those regions of the body.

Building lean muscle mass is the most effective way to reduce cellulite. Basically, lean muscle mass ensures that your skin is supported, giving the appearance of a smoother and undimpled surface. Exercise, in general, is a great way to boost your metabolism which guarantees more fat to be burned.

Excess fat is the greatest factor in determining if a woman over twenty will develop cellulite. One should not only be involved in building lean muscle mass, but also cardiovascular exercise too.

One of them is the squat. This particular exercise helps strengthen and build the muscles of the thighs and buttocks, where most cellulite is located.

The best way to do this exercise is to stand with your legs shoulder width apart. You will then lower your body, bending your knees as if going to sit in a chair, until your thighs are parallel with the ground.

You will then raise yourself up, as if getting up from a chair, until you are once again standing. To make this exercise most effective, you should repeat this motion fifteen to twenty times for each set.
