By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Chain link privacy slats or weaves are a great way to create your own space, especially in your back yard.

Many of the newer subdivisions will quite often include a chain link fence between the properties, down the sides and across the back.  Some homeowners promptly replace it with a nicer wooden privacy fence, but these can get expensive, depending on the size of your yard.

These privacy slats for chain link fences are a great alternative.  They are affordable, and depending on the colors you pick, can add to the décor of your backyard.  You can feel more private in your own space again, while waiting for hedges and shrubs to grow as you landscape and make your yard your very own.

They make a great back drop to gardens, patios and water features too!

There is a bit of labour involved, as you feed these slats through the fence, but you can do it a bit at a time, or just call it a family project for the weekend!

It is nice to have great neighbours and be friendly, but sometimes you just want your own space.  This alternative to expensive privacy fencing looks good too.  They are designed for chain link fences, and you can get them in many different colours, and they are durable to with

If you are concerned about your neighbours side of the fence, don’t be, they will look good on that side as well, although you may want to tell your neighbour that it is nothing personal, you just want a bit of privacy, which I am sure they won’t mind either.

If you have a pool and you have installed a chain link fence, then this would be a great way to section off the pool area.  They work great for kids and pets too.

It can be an instant way to border your yard and make it look great.  If you have a neighbour who maybe does not have as nice as yard as yours, and you just want to look at your own yard from the comfort of your back deck or patio, then putting these inserts into the fence can instantly take care of that without going down the route of expensive wooden fencing and gates.

You can use these privacy slats in the chain link gate as well.  You can get them in muted colours or you can go bright, depending on your personality and your neighbours of course!

You can get these at many fencing and hardware stores, and they sell them in packages.  So, you will need to know the height of your fence and how many feet of fence you plan on using the product on.

There are many ways to create a private haven without spending too much or construction.  You can also get outdoor patio blinds to separate your space on the front porch as well as maybe a teak outdoor privacy screen to hide parts of your yard or even outdoor curtains for patio areas that soften the look of your yard and yet give you some privacy.

Once armed with this information, you can then work out how much you need.  But if you are finding your local stores limiting in the choices, then consider shopping online at sites such as Amazon.  You can find many colours and styles of the chain link privacy slats or weaves that will work best in your yard.
