Fleas are little blood-sucking insects. They will suck the blood of both animals and humans. They are hard to kill and you are not able to just swat them and kill them like flies. Even smashing one between your fingers, usually, will not kill it. Besides, if there is one flea, there are thousands more.

The most effective ways to kill fleas involve using an insecticide. There are flea sprays and flea bombs. You can spray flea insecticide anywhere there are fleas, and they will be killed instantly. You can set off a flea bomb in the middle of a room and any flea that is exposed will die.

Now you are probably thinking that flea bombs are the way to go, and they might be, if you have a room where all areas are exposed most of the times this is not the case, so if you just want to use flea bombs keep that in mind. Most of the time, it is best to spray areas where a flea bombs vapors will not reach and then set off your flea bomb. Fleas may be hiding behind curtains, between the couch cushions and any places that are dark, warm and moist.

Remember that just one flea can multiply into thousands so make sure you get rid of any fleas that are possibly on you, your family and your pets or else the fleas will have won. You should really go a little crazy with the flea bombs and spray to make sure you get them all. Areas outside of your house such as your garden may also require a flea bomb or two.

Get rid of fleas on your pets by bathing them with flea shampoo for pets. You will know your pet has fleas if he or she starts scratching a lot, gets raised red bumps and starts chewing at his or her skin. Prevent fleas on your pets with a pet flea repellent. It is easier to get rid of fleas on humans, but you will want to shampoo your hair with a flea shampoo for humans.

You can also buy them at the grocery store, vet or pet shop. When you find out where to buy flea bombs and spray, choose the ones that kill adult fleas, baby fleas and flea eggs.
