A computer can be an essential working tool in an office these days and most businesses use them to some extent. It is also popular in the home, with most children growing up computer literate in the digital age. There are a few accessories which can be used with a computer and the printer is the most common of these.

Printer technology has advanced over the years leading to a few different types being available. Smaller printers used in the home and office tend to be one of two types. It can be expensive to constantly change the printer cartridge and a more affordable way of doing this can be to use cheap printer ink cartridges.

A simple way to save money on ink costs for an inkjet printer is to use compatible printer cartridges. These are not made by the same company that made the printer although they are manufactured to a similar specification. This means they will fit the printer they are designed for but they tend to cost less than the cartridges made by the company that manufactured the printer.

If you use a laser printer a simple way to save money is to use refill toner cartridges. These can also be know as remanufactured cartridges and are basically an empty cartridge that has been reconditioned and refilled with toner. The cost for these can be a lot less than a new toner cartridge.
