Cheap Vinyl Tile for Sale - Check the Discontinued Rack for Great Deals!

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 2

You can find cheap vinyl tile for sale in a number of different places. If peel and stick flooring is in your future, you may as well try to save a few bucks on your purchase. It's not really as hard as you may think to find great deals on flooring, but there are some real dangers you need to consider when you make your purchase. If peel and stick flooring is right for you, it may be time to check out cheap vinyl tile for sale. A new floor can be yours, but what do you need to look for?

Cheap vinyl tile for sale, especially when it's a low grade product, will generally have a pretty poor warranty. In fact, many will only cover major damage, with tons of stipulations. Many of these warranty stipulations include having the flooring installed professionally. To help make sure you get a quality product, be sure to read the fine print for any and all cheap vinyl tile for sale, so you get the best peel and stick flooring for the money. Here are some other things to consider regarding warranties.  This is different than peel and stick carpeting, so the ways to compare them are different.

Length: How long is the warranty? If you buy a quality product, you should expect a quality warranty. This means the cheap vinyl tile for sale you select should have a fairly lengthy warranty. A very short warranty should serve as a warning sign. Cheap vinyl tile for sale that has a warranty under two years is probably a low grade self adhesive flooring product.

Type of coverage: Does loss of sheen constitute a warranty issue that will be covered? This is one of the most common issues with cheap vinyl tile for sale. The shine is what makes it so appealing, and if it's lost, the peel and stick floor will not look nearly as nice. Be sure you have comprehensive coverage with your cheap vinyl tile for sale or you may end up replacing your new peel and stick flooring on your own.

Discontinued peel and stick flooring:

Sometimes you get really lucky when you are looking for cheap vinyl tile for sale. On occasion, you will find stores that have discontinued a higher quality flooring product. This is a great opportunity for you to save money on the self adhesive squares. When you do run into one of these deals, there are a few things to consider, so you get the best deal possible, and avoid future issues with your cheap vinyl tile for sale.

Buy extra: You will have some waste each time you install peel and stick flooring. You cannot avoid this. Be sure to buy about 10% - 15% extra to account for waste. In addition, you will need to have some additional squares on hand, should you need to replace one or two squares. I would recommend at least 10 extra peel and stick squares for a room of about 150 square feet. You may not be able to find the same cheap vinyl tile for sale in the future. This eliminates the need to replace the entire floor when only a few squares are bad.

Who discontinued it? Was the cheap vinyl tile for sale discontinued by the manufacturer, or the seller? If it was discontinued by the manufacturer you probably won't ever be able to get your hands on more. If you like the look, you may wish to expand the area you cover with the peel and stick flooring. This could be impossible if you purchased inexpensive self adhesive flooring that was discontinued by the manufacturer. If it was discontinued by the seller, you may be able to find another seller that is carrying it.

Where should I look?

If you are in the market for cheap vinyl tile for sale, you have many different options to check out. Of course, you can look at local hardware and home improvement stores, but there are many other options out there some people aren't aware of. This is where many people get the best deals on inexpensive or discontinued peel and stick floor squares.

Online: You will find many suppliers of cheap vinyl tile for sale online. Be sure to check out warranties with these sellers, just as you would a local seller. In addition, you will want to make sure the shipping charges are not too high, or the cost of your peel and stick floor will increase drastically. Sites like eBay or Craigslist are a great place to look, along with online sites that specialize in flooring. You should have no issues finding cheap vinyl tile for sale online.

Who do you know? Carpenters, builder, and general contractors could all have a stockpile of cheap vinyl tile for sale. In fact, many of them have all sorts of odds and ends. If you are doing a smaller floor, perhaps only 100 square feet, they may have enough to accommodate you. It may really pay off to check around. You never know how much money you can save with these folks when you are looking at cheap vinyl tiles for sale.

Going out of business: You can find cheap vinyl tiles for sale at local stores that are going out of business. This may give you an opportunity to save even more money on your new peel and stick flooring. If you are lucky enough to capitalize on these types of deals, be sure you buy enough, as you may never be able to get your hands on more of the cheap vinyl tiles for sale at these businesses.

More ways to save:

  • ·Try to get the best deals you can on shipping charges. These can make the cheap vinyl tile for sale much more expensive.
  • ·Take your truck or trailer to avoid delivery charges. This can really make a big difference.
  • ·Avoid low quality products. Cheap vinyl tile for sale doesn't have to be low quality. Discontinued peel and stick flooring can be found at great prices.
  • ·Shop around. You never know where you will find the best deals.

These are just a few things to consider when you look for an inexpensive flooring option. Self adhesive flooring is really a great way to go!

many cities now have "re-use stores" for building materials. We have one in our area sponsored by the Habitat for Humanity. Contractors drop off their excess materials, and anyone can purchase them for a much lower price. This money then supports the chariety. You can update your house affordably, you just have to shop around. Great article.

Excellent point, Sookie. I don't have anything like this in my city, but I live in a small town. I'm sure I could find something like this in one of the neighboring cities in my area.
