OH BROTHER am I the expert at this one - So what does it mean to check your head at the door. Well in today's world to me it means: Leave your stress, troubles, and worries behind and live a little.

For some reason in today's world time flies and so does LIFE - we my live longer but are we really living. We work more, our lives are more complicated kids, dogs, parents, friends, separation, divorce, layoffs, sickness - you name it we got it and as we get it we tend to get caught up in it and we actually forget to take time to LIVE and enjoy life.

Lets say you are have some great plans (a trip, party, event) and you have all this crazy stuff going on in your life - you end up taking it with you and this causes you to not even see great things right before your eyes - What you need to do is CHECK YOUR HEAD AT THE DOOR..

Make a statement to yourself, a commitment that you will leave all those thoughts, worries whatever you have at the door before you get on that plane, before you enter the hotel, before you go the party - LET IT GO.. it will be there tomorrow, the next day, whenever you need to get back to it, don't let it ruin your time, don't miss out on things that are right in front of you - be in the moment, enjoy it - LET THE STRESS go even for a few moments - this is a practice I do when I go on a trip - I say I am going to check my head at the door and I do - I enjoy my trip or that event and for that time I am FREE to live and boy do I ever.

I know this sounds like something that may be impossible but let me tell you once you realize it and commit to it you will learn to CHECK YOUR HEAD AT THE DOOR and like it - Because in today's world the things that stress us, complicate us are not going away they are becoming a part of our daily lives and for that we are producing bad habits and excepting to live a life without living - so go and CHECK YOUR HEAD AT THE DOOR and live a little (even for a few hours)
