Chicken Wings with Honey and Orange Sauce
12 chicken wings (about 2 pounds)
1 envelope Lipton golden onion soup mix
1/4-cup frozen concentrated orange juice
1-tablespoon prepared mustard
2-teaspoons soy sauce
1/4-teaspoon ground ginger
3 or 4 dashes hot sauce
Cut the tips off the chicken wings. Now cut again at the joint to divide.
You will have 24 pieces. ( or you can also buy a bag of frozen wings that this step will already be done for you). Wash the chicken wing sections well and drain.
In a large bowl combine, the envelope of Lipton soup mix, 1/3-cup honey, 1/4-cup water, 1/4-cup frozen concrentrated orange juice, 1/4-cup sherry, 1-tablespoon mustard, 2-teaspoons soy 1/4-teaspoon soy sauce, 1/4-teaspoon ground ginger and the 3 or 4 hot sauce. Mix to blend well.
Add the chicken wings. Turn to coat well.
Preheat oven your to 350 degrees. Spray a 13x9 inch baking dish
with no-stick cooking spray.
Pour the chicken wings and sauce into the prepared baking dish. Bake
uncovered, basting occasionally, 40 minutes or until chicken is
done and sauce is thickened.
Prepare as above ...heat uncovered at high, basting and rearranging
chicken wings occasionally, 20 minutes or until chicken is done
and sauce is thickened. Let stand uncovered for 5 minutes before serving.
