Childs China Tea Set For Hours Of Play Fun

Children obtain so much fun and pleasure from make believe tea parties. They do not only stir a child's imagination, but they also provide a very helpful avenue for teaching children the niceties of good manners. A play tea set will literally provide hours of fun for a child as he or she entertains their friends, or even their dolls and stuffed toys.

There are different types of children's tea sets. Some are made from plastic, some from metal and yet others from china. If your child is still fairly young you may want to opt for one of the unbreakable types of tea sets, either plastic or metal. However, once your child is older you may want to buy a childs china tea set, at least for supervised play.

There are many advantages to using china over either metal or plastic, even for children's tea parties. Metal just does not have the same 'feel' as china, though it is definitely unbreakable. Plastic is safe to use, however it does tend to become scratched quite easily and once there are scratches in the little teacups for example, they are no longer very hygienic. Plastic also tends to stain and it can be quite difficult to get clean. China, on the other hand, washes up well and does not stain or become scratched. It remains hygienic as long as it does not get bumped and crack, or chip.

If you want, you can also buy something like a small chest for storing the tea set in. The tea chest will help to protect the tea set pieces from getting either lost or broken, and will also be very handy for storing the tea set in a location that is easy to find. Of course, some tea sets come complete with a little carry case or box that the tea set can sit in, but many do not.

One great idea you may like to try if you can afford it, something that many mothers have used successfully, is to buy two china tea sets that are exact replicas of one another. One set can be tucked away somewhere for safe keeping. That way, whenever the inevitable happens and a cup or saucer is dropped and broken you can quickly whip out a replacement piece. It not only helps to keep the set complete which is important if it is going to be used successfully for tea parties, but it also staves off a lot of tears when you are able to quickly replace something that has been broken.
