Choosing A Venue For Your Adelaide Wedding

By Edited May 3, 2014 0 0

Are you looking for a venue for your Adelaide wedding?

There are so many options available that the task of choosing the right wedding venue can be very frustrating at times, here are some tips to help you choose the perfect wedding venue for you.

Firstly, you will need to consider the time of year, wedding venues are very busy during the summer months so if you are looking to plan a wedding reception during the December to February period be sure to book early, it's very common for some brides to book their wedding venues several years in advance. Otherwise if you are not too fussed about what time of year you have your wedding then maybe consider having your wedding during the off peak season, this can potentially save you a lot of money if you are on a tight budget.

Secondly, be sure to consider parking options, some wedding venues may be great but have very poor parking facilities, if that is the case, then you will need to take this into consideration. Other options may be to hire a bus to help everyone get from the church to the reception venue easily or checking to see if there is a hotel / motel near by, this is a great option if there is going to be a lot of drinking and alcohol involved, instead of driving home everyone can just crash at the nearest hotel / motel.

Thirdly, be sure to speak to someone who has had their wedding at that particular venue before, ask around, you are sure to have a few friends who have organised a wedding before at that exact same venue. The problem with brochures is that they will not cover all of the issues that you may encounter when organising your wedding venue, obviously, it's their job to highlight only the good things about the venue.

These are just a few tips for you to consider when organising your Adelaide wedding, overall be sure to do your homework and ask lots of questions, there is no such thing as a stupid question, it's your wedding day after all and it's up to you how it goes!
