Choosing The Right Workout Attire
One of the most important step in choosing the appropriate workout gear is that the clothing is comfortable during exercise you are performing you can't just look at the gym attire on someone else and think that look is appropriate for your activities.
And you definitely should check out workout attire that is not based simply on an the color and total look of the outfit. I have learned this lesson the hard way. I once wore a pair of running shorts to a spinning class. The problem was that the running shorts were too short for this activity. When we were told to spin as fast as they could while seated for two minutes I was not aware that my inner thigh was exposed and rubbing part of my bikes the because my running shorts have creeped up. The next morning I had a huge welt caused by the chafing from the class. It took a long time for that to heal and I still had a bruise weeks later.
As far as fabric goes you want to purchase an outfit that will move moisture away from your body and keep you dry and comfortable throughout your workout. Especially if you do any high impact training such as aerobics or running, then you'll want fabric that will remove the moisture as well. One of the main material that can do just that is called CoolMax. You will notice that attire that is made from CoolMax will be more sensitive than just a cotton piece of workout gear. You will discover in the long run if the extra expense is worth it.
The next thing to consider is the shape and cut on the various pieces of workout attire. You don't want to run while wearing yoga pants that tend to have flare at the ankle which will bother you during your run and you don't want to wear womens workout shorts that are too short to go biking in. Some exercises will require a longer cut on your shirt especially if you're going to be any stretching up words quite a bit such as in weight training and yoga. Basically you do want a tire that you are so comfortable in after all it is based on preference. Another example was being running in an oversized T-shirt. With a running motion you're bouncing so much that the oversized T-shirt sort of hopped up and down on your shoulder and arms and can be quite bothersome. I prefer to run in a tank top that hits just above my hips but is a few inches below my waist. I also prefer to run in running shorts that are not too loose in the legs nor too tight like biking shorts.
The final step in all of this is to try everything on and to sort of test it out in the dressing room. Don't be afraid to walk in them mock jog or do jumping jacks in them. Don't forget to reach up and bend over to make sure your undergarments aren't showing (this is especially important for womens workout gear) or that any other area of your body do not want to be seen if exposed.yeah
