Choosing the Best Bathroom Rugs
When you are in a place where you want to redo the look of your
bathroom, you might be thinking about factors like the bathroom sink,
the tile, the vanity or the tub. While these things are all major
changes that you need to make down the line, remember that in many
cases, you can make a lot of great changes just by look at the rug!
Your bathroom rug is too often just a rug that you have purchased on a
whim that you have never thought about since. The truth of the matter
is that the floor of your bathroom is an important factor in the way
the room looks, and if you want a small change that can mean a lot,
consider what kind of bathroom rug might work best for you.
When you are thinking about getting a bathroom rug, the first thing
that you are likely going to need to think about is the color. The
color of the rug is something that can very much affect the way that it
looks in your bathroom, so keep this in mind. If you have a bathroom
that is solely done up in a white, a white bathroom rug might look very
good in there, but don't underestimate the ability of a black and white
striped rug to give it some variety, or even the use of a more colorful
rug to spice things up. If your bathroom is decorated in pink or green,
choose a bathroom rug that is a shade darker to ground the entire look.
There are several types of rugs that you might be able to choose from
when you are thinking about getting a good bathroom rug. The most
common sort of rug by far is a simple, thin cotton mat that has been
cut to fit. While cotton is relatively durable, it is usually going to
have to sit on a tile floor, and over time, they can wear out quite
quickly. Rugs that are made out of rayon or acrylic can last longer and
this is where the currently popular chenille rugs can ome in. they are
good choice because they can deal with the constant water exposure. You
may even find that you are drawn to the rugs that are made out of
bamboo. While they are not as soft as cotton or chenille, they are
still a wonderful visual accent. Or you could choose something more expensive like karastan area rugs.
With all of this in mind, how are you going to choose the rug that
looks best in your bathroom? In many cases, you will need to think
about who is going to be using it. If the bathroom is typically going
to be used by small children, you might want to make sure that the rug
has enough traction to grip the floor, preventing them from taking a
spill. Think about what textures you like and what kind of colors are
going to make you smile. The rug that you buy does not have to be
expensive to be perfect for you, and the more time that you spend
looking at your tastes, the better off you are going to be when you are
thinking about how you can decorate your bathroom well.
