Full Review
Chosen, book three of The House of Night series, is a "can't put it down book" right from the start. Full of intense emotions, drama, and action this book grabs a hold of you and won't let go. Zoey Redbird is only 2 months into her new life as a vampyre fledgling and things are crazier then they should be.
Her best friend Stevie Rae is not as dead as she should be, in fact you could even say she is simply going through another change...but a change that makes her into the typical stereotype of a vampyre. Stevie Rae and other students from the school have all died, and some how been brought back to life by the High Priestess of The House of Night, Neferet. No one else knows about this except for the Aphrodite, who is not exactly Zoey's friend. These undead dead students are killing humans, drinking the blood because of an uncontrollable desire that is much stronger then a normal vampyres.
Can Zoey find some way to save Stevie Rae, and will she need Aphrodite's help to do it?
To add to the stress of the situation Zoey still has the male vampyres in her life to deal with. Heath, her old human boyfriend whom she has imprinted with, and whom she really can't seem to stay away from. Erik, her vampyre boyfriend who is one of the hottest boys she knows and is sweet and kind and genuinely likes her. Then there is Loren...a teacher at The House of Night. As wrong as it feels to be with him, it also feels so right. Zoey can't help but be drawn to him, he makes her feel like a woman and he seems to be irrisistable. Who will she choose? Can she choose?
As the story progresses you see more and more that Zoey has to stand up and face her fears, face the challenges that are thrown at her, while all the while hurting those she loves, and possibly ending up all alone. The story takes you on one big roller coaster that leaves you breathless.
In Closing
The only thing left to say about this book is that if you loved the first two you will REALLY love this one. It's better in every way possible and makes you want to run out and buy the next one no matter what the cost.
