5 Steps to Christian Growth

Today we will discover the things we must do to grow. At the same time, these things will be our weapons in resisting all works of the devil. Each listed below has its own article as each is special on its own. Every word will be very substantial from now on so keep an open mind in studying:

1. Bible Devotion

"Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4

Bible Devotion means reading the Word of God. The Bible is the food of Christians. It gives Christians the wisdom that comes from the Lord. At the same time, it is one source of strength. It is called the food of our spirit for it makes us grow spiritually. We should develop a regular devotion time so that the Lord will be able to speak to us everyday.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness," 2 Tim 3:16-17

The Bible is the primary source of faith for it holds the greatest signs, wonders and miracles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2.Prayer

"But if you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted!"John 15:7

Prayer is the vitals of a Christian. It should be practiced as often as one breathes because it is your personal communication with God. This is the only way you could directly adore the lord, confess your sins, thank for His blessings and ask for your needs. Also, it is not a one way process. When you pray, you are not the only one talking. God responds to those who takes time to listen. He respond by providing you power. The power we just need to continue our Christian living. Truly if the bible is our food, prayer is our lifeline.

3. Witnessing

""You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me."Isaiah 43:10

It is the way of proclaiming God's goodness in your life. More related to the saying 'Count Your Blessings'. If you do this often, you will acknowledge the great things that the Lord has done in your life. God is always delighted when someone testifies the marvelous changes that He has done for that someone. Why should we do this? First of all, it is His commandment. So that we may give glory to the Lord. Second, it is the committment. We must not hide the revolutions in our lives due to Jesus. we must proclaim it. Lastly, it is World's contentment. In order to satisfy the World's disbelieving, you must give it live testimonies. You must be one of those.

4. Attending Fellowships

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." Hebrews 10:24-25

It is the act of gathering for the GLory of Jesus. In fellowships, no name should be risen and lifted on high but the mighty name of Jesus. Jesus must be the center of a gathering for it to be called a fellowship. Be very cautious, though in fellowships. Make sure that God's glory is the only thing being proclaimed in the fellowship you are attending. Only attend gatherings in Jesus. The goodness of holding fellowships is that it provides way where group of Christians can help one another by checking statuses of the spiritual walk of one and another.

5. Obedience

"But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams."I Sam 15:22

We should always live and abide by the word of God to stay in his likeness. Doing so fills God's heart with great joy.

That's the five super weapons and daily breads of us Christians. Always practice each so that you will continue to grow. On the next articles to come. I will discuss the five in separate articles for greater depth of understanding. Stay tune! Godbless!
