Mary Higgins Clark is the "Queen of Suspense" and since 1995 she has been adding "Christmas Queen of Suspense" to her list of titles. Her first two holiday novels were such a success that her novelist daughter, Carol Higgins Clark, soon began collaborating with her to write them. Mary Higgins Clark has a total of seven Christmas books to her name, five of those were written in collaboration with Carol Higgins Clark.

  • Deck the Halls- Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark (2000)

In their first collaborative novel, the Clarks combine several of their most famous characters Regan Reilly and Alvirah and Willy Meehan. Three days before Christmas, Regan's father Luke is kidnapped and held for ransom. Aided by amateur sleuth Alvirah Meehan, and her ever handy starburst pin, the family goes on a race to locate him before the arrival of Christmas. Fans of Carol Higgins Clark's other books will especially like this one since it is the book where Reagan Reilly meets Jack (no relation Reilly), her future husband.

  • He Sees You When You’re Sleeping - Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark (2001)

He Sees You When You're Sleeping is the second collaboration by Mary Higgins Clark and her daughter Carol Higgins Clark, following the success of Deck the Halls. This is a more traditional Christmas book that will remind readers of the movie It's a Wonderful Life. In it, we meet Sterling Brooks a man that goes to meet his maker and suddenly realizes that he missed out on many of life's opportunities. In an effort to teach him a lesson, and prove he is worthy to enter the pearly gates, he is sent back to earth with a mission. Sterling soon discovers that his mission is to help a young girl who has been separated from her family due to uncontrollable circumstances.

  • The Christmas Thief - Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark (2005)

The Christmas Thief is one of the best Christmas books that the Clarks have written to date. The story opens just as the city of New York has selected the tree that will stand in RockefellerCenter. As the proud owners relish in the honor of having grown such a tree, Alvirah Meehan and Regan Riley try to enjoy a pre-holiday getaway. Much to everyone's surprise, they wake up one morning to discover that the tree has been stolen. Why would anyone take the Rockefeller Christmas tree? What would anyone steal a tree to begin with? And most of all, how did they steal it and where is it at? All of these questions are resolved in a lighthearted but intriguing mystery as the team of sleuths attempt to locate the tree so that it can be properly erected in Rockefeller Center in time for the Christmas season.
