The New Big Three

The 2014-2015 NBA basketball season is only a few months away. It is time to take a look at the new Cleveland Cavilers! During the 2013-2014 season the Caves went 33-49 and did not qualify for the playoffs. In spite of their poor record, many are expecting the Cavaliers to contend for the NBA championship this year. With LeBron James return to Cleveland,  no one is surprised at this sudden surge of confidence in the Cavilers chances of a championship. Also this off-season the Caves picked up All-star Kevin Love. LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving constitute the newest edition of a “Big Three” in the NBA. Many are expecting several seasons of dominance from them. Each of these players brings a unique skill set to their team.

LeBron James, nicknamed “the King,” Has had a phenomenal career thus far. He started off his career strong winning rookie of the year in 2004. He is already a ten time All-Star, a four time MVP and a two time NBA Champion. Lebron James is among the most dominant players in NBA history. During his career, he has averaged close to twenty seven points, seven rebounds, and seven assists a game. Physically he is an anomaly. He is capable of playing every position on the court. Standing six-foot eight inches and weighing around two hundred and fifty pounds, he is widely believed to be the most fit professional athlete in the world.

Kyrie Irving is a relatively young player in the NBA having only played three seasons to date. Kyrie like LeBron started off strong winning rookie of the year in 2012 and is already a two time NBA All-Star.  Averaging over twenty points, five assists and 3 rebounds per game, he is among the most promising young point guards in the NBA today. Standing six-foot three inches and weighing one hundred and nighty pounds, Kyrie is built perfectly to be a stand out point guard in the NBA.

Kevin Love is among the elite power forwards in the league. He is a three time NBA All-Star. Standing six feet ten inches, Kevin Love has averaged almost twenty points and over two assists per game. His most impressive statistic is that he has averaged over twelve rebounds a game for his career. Very Impressive!

Any one of these three players can command respect on the basketball court. Just imagine watching them play together. The entire NBA fan base and most especially the fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers are eager to see what LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love will accomplish over the next couple seasons.

I do think the Cavs are making the right move trading for Love. But if Wiggins turns out to be like Scottie Pippen, man the Cavs could of been like the Bulls of the 90s.

hmmm, I had never really thought to compare Wiggins to Pippen.
