Club Penguin Play Awards Guide

The Club Penguin Play Awards have begun on Club Penguin. This is an event on the online game Club Penguin (clubpenguin.com) that celebrates all the plays that have taken place at the Stage. The Stage is a special area on Club Penguin where players can wear costumes and act out scenes from the plays on a decorated stage.

The Club Penguin Play Awards are designed like the Oscars or Tony Awards. The Stage itself is decorated like an awards show and there are many special things to do as well as a lot of hidden secrets and cheats. This guide to the Club Penguin Play Awards will help you get the most out of the event, which runs from March 20, 2009 through April 9, 2009.

The Nominees

The five plays that are nominated for the Club Penguin Play Awards are:

• Fairy Fables
• Squidzoid vs. Shadow Guy and Gamma Girl
• The Penguins that Time Forgot
• Quest for the Golden Puffle
• Ruby and the Ruby

Voting

All penguins, including non-members, can vote for the plays in the following categories: Best Play, Best Costume, Best Music, Best Effects, and Best Set. To vote, go to the voting booth located outside the Stage in the Plaza and click on it to fill out a ballot.

Inside the Awards Event

Right now, only paid members can get inside the stage but non-members will be able to get inside soon too. There is a huge red carpet with velvet ropes. Inside the stage, you will see that it has been decorated to look like an awards show. There is a big screen on stage that shows clips from the different plays when you move your mouse over it. There is also an awards podium that you can stand behind and pretend to accept your award.

There is a script for the award show and the costume trunk has some of the best costumes from all five nominated plays. There are some secret hidden items inside the catalog: the squidzoid costume, the time travel hat and a special awards show player card background.

Backstage

There is also a special secret area behind the stage which is also only for paid members. This is a backstage area with refreshments and decorations. There is also a free item for members--your very own Club Penguin Award statue!
