Come winter time, you will most likely find out just how useful a coat rack is. Even if you live alone, having more than one coat rack to allow space for visitors to your home to hang their wraps is definitely a good idea. Surprisingly the metal coat racks do actually look quite nice and some people prefer them as they can be more stable and less likely to topple over than some of the wooden ones. And as I mentioned above, you can also get the kind that is nailed into the wall. While this has the disadvantage of not being able to easily move it if you want to place it in another area of the room, these also come with a shelf above that some have found to be quite convenient for putting things. As long as you pick a nice style and it color coordinates with the furniture of the room you are placing it in, a coat rack can even be a nice addition to your home's décor.
