Looking for a coloring contest for your children to participate? You have come to the right place!

Coloring pages are great activities for birthday parties and a time-tested way to keep the cheeky monkeys on the dining table. It's even better if you can make use of some of their best artwork.

There aren't a lot of coloring contests available on the internet, but the following competitions are held on a monthly basis so you and your children can take part any time you like. That have great prizes too!

1. Party Supplies Club Monthly Coloring Contest

Party Supplies Club Coloring ContestParty Supplies Club (PartySuppliesClub.com), a party supplies review site, has recently launched a coloring contest every month. While this contest is probably not as established as the others, your children are free to choose from the hundreds of coloring sheets categorized by party themes, including popular ones from Blues Clues, Elmo, Scooby Doo, Sponge Bob, Batman, Hello Kitty, Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake, Princess and many more coloring pages.

What you need to do is simply scanning or taking a digital photo of your children's finished coloring page and uploading it to the site. A winner will be randomly drawn from all entries on the first of every month.

The winner will be announced and notified individually by email, and the art work will be showcased on the site. The prize varies but a $25 Amazon coupon would be a typical reward.

2. Just Tomatoes Coloring Contest

Just Tomatoes Coloring ContestJust Tomatoes (JustTomatoes.com) is also running a coloring contest on a monthly basis. A winner is picked randomly each month and the children will receive the healthy snack bag treats.

While this is the longest running and most established coloring contest, please note that children have no choice of their own coloring pages – it has to be the one sheet supplied by Just Tomatoes featuring a bunch of vegetable cartoons. Also, you have to fill out one page of personal information and mail (yes snail mail, not email) the coloring sheets and application to the company in California.

3. Lohasrus "Color This" Contest

Lohasrus (Lohasrus.com/colorthis.asp) is holding a monthly coloring contest and it runs until the end of 2010. Your children can color any pages from the lohasrus coloring book. You can then take a photo of the artwork, upload it to any of the social media site (e.g. You Tube, Face Book and Twitter) and send the link to the organizer.

What's great about this coloring contest is the attractive prize: you get a fabulous patio chair, and every participants will receive a e-certificate. The catch is that the coloring must be done in their coloring books (which you receive if you buy something from Lohasrus) and the competition is open to the US customers only.

Let's make good use of our children's coloring pages to win some great prizes. Best of luck to you!
