Combating Knee Pain And Arthritis

Do you suffer from knee pain or stiffness and have trouble with arthritis? Then read on as I give you tips and advice on how to deal with this problem and combat your knee pains and athritis. Following these tips can help reduce or eliminate the pain associated with knee pain and athritis. Good Luck!

Step 1: Lifting weights and incorportating strength training into your daily activities will help you out tremendously. Lifting weights will help strengthen your muscles, and make your bones denser, and strengthen your ligaments and tendons. Focus on exercises like squats, hamstring curls, and lunges which target the muscles that sorround your knees. The stronger the muscles, ligaments, and tendons are around your muscles, the less strain and wear and tear your knees will suffer.

Step 2: Work on stretching and flexibility on a daily basis. You need to focus especially on areas like your lower back, hips, hamstrings, and your calves. If any of these muscle groups are extremely tight, then your body can compensate for them being tight and this can cause your ligaments and tendons to pull on your knees which can cause knee pain.

Step 3: You should try using heating packs or an ultrasound machine. Using either of these can help bring oxygen rich blood to your knees and help with pain by loosening them up some and relieving the stiffness associated in your knees.

Step 4: Another great idea would be to supplement your diet with Glucosamine. This supplement can help rebuild cartilidge and cushions the cartilidge you have. It will also help alleviate some of the pain and stiffness you have with your knees.

Step 5: Massage the tops and sides of your knees. This is important in loosening them up and making them stop hurt as well.

Step 6: Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Plenty of water in your diet helps cushion joints in your body like the knees.

Step 7: Use ice therapy to relieve yourself of the pain in your knees. You should ice your knees 3-5 times a day for 20-30 minutes. This will help with some of the pain and stiffness in your knees.
