Ready For Take Off
Sit back, relax and fasten your seat belts as you take off with Airplane and Airplane 2. The first installment is a spoof loosely based on an air disaster movie released in the 1970's. In both films the crew of a passenger airline, (spaceship for the sequel) are incapable of performing their duties. A former Air Force Pilot with an odd drinking problem is the only hope to bring everyone to safety.
Triple Naked Laughs
Tag along with Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) as he attempts to solve crime and navigate through hilarious situations in Naked Gun 1, 2, and 3. The films are based upon Police Squad, a short-lived television series that appeared on the ABC network in 1982. Priscilla Presley (wife of Elvis Presley) appears in the film series as Drebin's love interest and adds to the laughs.
Shots and Shots
A spoof of Tom Cruise's Top Gun, Hot Shots 1 & 2 manages to take the idea of war and turn it into a hilarious event. In the first installment, Charlie Sheen plays Topper Harley a former Navy Pilot who is haunted by an accident caused by his father when he loses control of a fighter jet. Although not approved by his psychiatrist (Valeria Golino), he returns to duty to help with a classified mission. In the second addiction Topper returns to save a special rescue team captured by Saddam Hussein, this time the former Topper performs his duties with a Rambo mindset.
Robin Of Loxley
We have all heard the story of Robin Hood robbing from the rich and giving to the poor. Director Mel Brooks takes this classic tale and adds laughable dialogue and situations in his film Robin Hood, Men in Tights. The movie follows Robin as he attempts to restore his family's honor and dethrone the substituting king, Prince John.
Karate is an admirable art, when it's added to hilarious events you get the movie Kung Fu Hustle. Produced in China, this action comedy was the tenth highest grossing foreign film in America. In the film two dim-wits try to convince tenants of an apartment complex that they are part of the feared Axed Gang, unsuccessfully they attempt to cause trouble but become the laughing-stock of the complex. When word gets to the Axe Gang that imposters are ruining their reputation, they appear at the complex to restore their name by terrorizing the tenants. The gang have no clue that three legendary Kung Fu masters live anonymously in the complex.
Scaring Up Laughs
The Scary Movie franchise pokes fun at well-known horror movies and television events to make viewers laugh. The films mock movies such as : Scream, The Sixth Sense, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Blair Witch Project, Signs, Saw, The Ring and many more. Each installment of the franchise provides laughs from beginning to the end.
