Miscommunication can be a big problem in any working environment. Whether you work in public service, customer service, or a general office environment, scenarios can occur at any given moment which can affect an individual and a company as a whole. For example:  

Often when someone quiet or reserved has a good idea, someone else may come up with the same idea, and take the credit. This can affect that person’s moral and confidence, which may have a knock-on effect to their productivity.

If someone notices an area of a project or task that may be incorrect, which could cause complications for the company further down the line; if they don’t speak up, the problem may not get solved.
