Cosmetic Dental Insurance- You Can Have That Hollywood Smile

By | Aug 9, 2009 | 1 Comments | Rating: 0

Cosmetic dental insurance is a great idea for those who are trying to improve the appearance of their teeth. Since dental costs have increased greatly over the years many insurance companies have reduced or even cut out their coverage for dental care. Prices of dental care have become too expensive to cover. Insurance companies that do cover dental care are only willing to cover urgent cases such as cavities. Most of them will not even cover dental braces.

At this day and age people are very concerned about the appearance of their teeth. Everyone wants to have that Hollywood smile. This means having perfectly straight and bright white teeth. They gave it this title because the majority of celebrities cap their teeth with white veneers. With the help of cosmetic dental insurance now many more people are getting the teeth they have dreamed of and feeling better about themselves.

Your current insurance would even cover a crown, but usually it would be the old porcelain fused to metal which does not look natural. For aesthetic reasons the best crowns to get for the front teeth are the all porcelain crowns that look very natural. The problem with that is they are much more expensive and considered cosmetic work so your insurance most likely won't cover that.

Most people can't afford to get work like this done so the best choice is to get supplemental dental plans. If your insurance will only give you partial coverage or none at all you can apply for cosmetic dental insurance. It is possible that you can get a certain percentage of coverage from them to help cover most of the cosmetic dental fees. You don't have to be a movie star anymore to have beautiful teeth.

Dental coverage is an area of health insurance that often is low on the priority list.
