How to Make Stuffing Balls

If you are looking for an appetizer for a Thanksgiving party or you are just plane bored of normal stuffing, why not give these stuffing balls a whirl.  They are delicious, with a crispier outside and a wonderfully moist inside.  Just looking for a regular stuffing recipe to impress your guests? Ingredients

1 pound ground pork
1 6oz pack of Stove Top stuffing (the Mix for chicken)
1 egg
1 cup water
3/4 cup of cranberry sauce
2 tablespoons melted butter


Preparation


While preheating your oven to 325 degrees F, cook your ground pork in a skillet until fully cooked making sure to stir frequently to avoid burning.  

Drain the fat and liquid from the pork and place the ground pork into a large bowl; allow the pork to cool down a bit.

Add in your Stuffing mix and mix well.

Mix in the cranberry sauce, water and egg.

Shape the mixture into 16 stuffing balls and place them on a foil covered baking sheet.

Brush butter on to the 16 stuffing balls then place in the oven you've been preheating and cook for 20 minutes.

Tips

If you want to prepare these tasty little stuffing balls in advance, you can freeze them in an air tight re-sealable container for up to a month.  Simply remove them from the freezer, allow them to defrost and cook them as directed above.

Also, if you want to switch it up, feel free to add a small ammount of bacon to the mix for even more flavor!
