By | Mar 2, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Social media marketing is huge today – so how do you go about fitting it into your marketing plan? This article will give you some advice about how you can create a social media marketing plan that will bring results.

Use as Many Social Media Marketing Tools as Possible

When creating your social media marketing strategy you should use as many tools as possible – social networking, social bookmarking, social content sharing, etc. By following the advice below you will find it fairly easy to combine these different strategies and so save time in using them.

Build Up as Many Friends, Fans and Followers as Possible

The trick to succeeding in marketing online with social media is to have as many friends, followers and fans as possible. There are a number of great Twitter tools to help you build up your number of followers on there, advertise your Facebook and MySpace pages and profiles, etc.

How to Combine the Different Social Media Marketing Methods

Once you have registered for the different social media marketing tools then you need to start using them. I have found that the easiest way to use them is to start with a plan for writing a number of social content pages and then each time you write share these on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Digg, etc. This way your advertising is getting out everywhere, you are getting more links to your social content and so also helping to improve your search engine optimization results.

The More Content, The Better

Try to write as many articles as you can or hire someone else to write these for you and then post them to the social content sharing websites such as Hub Pages and Squidoo. Remember to keep different articles for different websites (or at least re-written articles that appear original). This gives you more links to share with social networking and bookmarking, more links, etc.

Your social media marketing plan should begin with content – lots of it. The next step is to use the other social media marketing tools to get this content all over the internet and have this content link back to your website.
