Cruises To Nowhere

By | Jul 25, 2010 | 3 Comments | Rating: 0

Nowhere can be anywhere can't it? A lot of people like to jump into their cars and drive nowhere just to get away from it all. However, what happens if you can focus this adventure out to sea and explore the waters? If this sounds appealing to you, then a cruise to nowhere might be just what you're lookin for.

In the cruise industry, a cruise to nowhere is a short trip to the sea just outside a particular port of call. Ships offer this short mini vacation sometimes when they are repositioning for their next long excursion. However, as they restock, the cruise lines can make extra money by offering these short trips.

Or, another increasingly popular reason why cruises to nowhere are offered has to do with the launching of new ships. The cruise line holds a party and invites industry insiders and travel journalists to check out the new ship. If you're a savvy cruise veteran, you can also get these tickets but you better hurry as these tickets sell out fast. The repositioning cruises also sell out fast as well since it's a great value to pay for an inexpensive cruise experience if only for a couple of days. This is a great opportunity for those new to cruise vacations to find out how things operate. But beware, the cruise vacation lifestyle can be addictive! Where else can you have fine dining, meet new people, and have so much entertainment all in one place?

If you're sold on taking a cruise to nowhere, you have to do your research as unfortunately, this experience is not offered regularly. As stated, it's only offered when ships come into a port of call to reposition themselves. However, if you live near a port, then keep your eyes open for these last minute cruise deals. They are absolutely worth your time and money to check out a worldclass cruise experience. You will feel rejuvenated by going nowhere.

Just hope the cruise to nowhere doesn't end up at the bottom of the sea.
