Similarities between the DCC-2600 and DCC-1200

Appearance

They look identical with a silver finish and a boxy look. The control panel is on the front face of the machine while the carafe has an ergonomic handle for safety and prevents any spilling of coffee.  The layout of the control panel also differs slightly as the Regular and Bold settings in the DCC-2600 are not present on the DCC-1200. 

The dimensions of the DCC-1200 are 10.8 x 9.6 x 15.6 inches whereas the DCC-2600 is 10.9 x 16.2 x 9.6 inches. The DCC-2600 is lighter by 1.8 pounds with a weight of 5 pounds whereas the DCC-1200 weighs 6.8 pounds. Both are compact in size and can fit easily on any counter top without taking up too much space.

Water Reservoir

A side window on the water reservoir indicates the water level and filling water in the reservoir is easy by filling the lid and pouring water right in. 

Brew Pause

A nifty feature that you will love especially if you would like a quick cup of coffee while on the go is the brew pause feature in the DCC-2600 and DCC-1200. This feature stops the brewing process when you take out the carafe for a quick cup of coffee. When you keep the carafe back on the machine, it restarts the brewing process. 

Adjustable Carafe Temperature

You can also adjust the temperature of the coffee in the carafe so that it stays at a consistent temperature. You can adjust it to a low, medium or high temperature setting.

It can also make 14 cups as compared to 12 cups that you can make with the DCC-1200. However, the DCC-1200 is priced a bit less. Hence if you don’t mind paying more you can choose the DCC-2600.
