There are many current email scams over the internet. Every day you can check your junk email box and probably spot at least one or two email scams. They are very easy to detect because most of them do not have an opt out link or a professional email provider. This is usually the easiest way to detect a current email scam.

Other ways that you can detect current email scams is by noting emails that ask for your private information. Any email that asks you for information without prior consent or that you are not dealing with is usually a scam. If you contact anyone at the end of the email address, you will probably get someone claiming to send you a prize or a large amount of money. These people are only out to rip you off and in the end, you can be rest assured that they want more information. They will usually say that there is some fee involved in getting the money to you or that you have to pay them for something. This is how you identify current email scams.

Any email in your junk folder might as well be classified as an email scam. If you received an email from someone that you did not request, it is spam and should be deleted. It is an invasion of privacy and should be reported to the authorities. The best place to report current email scams is to the Federal Trade Commission or your internet service provider. The FBI is not a bad place to also send information on current email scams to as well as they will trace the source of the email and investigate the true intention of the people who are doing the emailing.
