If your wedding is only a few months away, one thing that you may not have though of is the napkins for your wedding. There are several different types of napkins that you may need to have for your wedding, including dinner napkins and cocktail napkins.

You'll have several choices to consider when it comes to the style, color, and even the material of the wedding napkins as well. So, the following are a few helpful hints to keep in mind when you are choosing the napkins for your wedding.

Cocktail Napkins

Cocktail napkins are smaller napkins that are only 5"x5" and they are also known as beverage napkins. These napkins are used at the table for your wedding cake and they are also used wherever your drinks are served as well.

You should plan on having several napkins for each guest, since most guests will go through several drinks and one piece of cake. You can choose to have your name and wedding date on the napkins or you may just want to have a monogram on the napkins instead.

Luncheon Napkins

Another type of wedding napkins is luncheon napkins. These napkins are a bit bigger than the cocktail napkins, but they are smaller than the dinner napkins.

Usually you need 1-2 of these napkins for each guest that you invite. These napkins are to be used at a buffet table or you may place them directly at the guest table as well.

Dinner Napkins

If you are having a more formal wedding reception you may want to have dinner napkins for your guests. You will only need to have one dinner napkin for each guest that you invite.

These napkins are neatly folded and placed beside the plates on the guest tables. Usually these types of napkins are made out of material, but you can go with paper dinner napkins if you want to.

However, printed wedding napkins do have advantages, since you'll be able to find a better color selection and they are easier to personalize.
