Have you ever heard the expression, 'kill two birds with one stone'? It means putting in half the effort for twice the benefit. If you can minimize how much work you have to do to accomplish more, wouldn't you do it? If you can help prevent and get rid of wrinkles while helping other parts of your body, wouldn't you do it?

Sun Protection

There are several ways to help minimize your wrinkles, smooth them out, and prevent them from getting worse. The best way to prevent them is through sun protection. Keep your face out of the sun. You should get 10 to 20 minutes of sunlight a day to get Vitamin D, but that doesn't mean you need to let it shine on your face where everyone sees wrinkles. Let it shine on your arms or legs instead. Don't forget to get your daily dose in the winter, too. It's good for your skin and your mood.

Sun ProtectionWear sunglasses, scarves, and/or wide brimmed hats when you're out in the sun. If you're sitting outside, sit in the shade instead of direct sunlight. Wear a day lotion with SPF 15 or higher everyday reapplying as needed. Use a larger strength sunblock when you plan to spend long periods of time outside, even if it's cloudy.

Sun rays can shine through the clouds. Sunlight can damage skin which in turn causes wrinkles. Staying out of the sun decreases the wrinkles it will cause and reduces the risk for skin cancer.

Get Rid of Wrinkles Around the Eyes

EyeUnder-eye wrinkles are some of the most hated wrinkles on our face. The eyes are the first and longest place we look when we talk to each other. Wrinkles under the eyes can age us quite a bit.

Check out this article to learn how to reduce under-eye wrinkles. You'll find various tips that are suprisingly easy to follow.

The Importance of Hydration

Drink lots of water. Water will hydrate you from the inside out and will greatly affect the look of your skin. Hydrated skin will be plump showing less wrinkles and fine lines. Drink 8 to 10 eight ounce glasses of water everyday, more as needed. Drinking more water will make you feel better, too. It will help your digestion and other your body's functions.

For best results, drink 12 to 16 ounces of water when you first wake up, even before breakfast. It will start you off on the right foot and get your skin hydrated quickly. Drink spring water, if possible.

Creams and Lotions

Finally, there are anti aging products on the market. Keep your skin clean. Use makeup remover in the evening to wash your face gently. Avoid wearing makeup if possible to keep from pulling and tugging your gentle skin or putting harsh chemicals on it. Rinsing with water is often enough for most people and keeps harsh soap away from delicate skin around your eyes.

Don't forget to moisturize. Use a deep moisturizing cream or lotion. Try natural substances like shea butter, cocoa butter and grapeseed oil. They are healthy for your skin and not full of chemicals. You'll be surprised at how much better your skin will look just after moisturizing and cleaning

For extreme cases, you can try a wrinkle reduction lotion. Look for products with copper or CoQ10 to help heal your skin and reduce wrinkles. Most of all, give it time. You will see some results after drinking more water and moisturizing if you were dehydrated, but for further results, give it time. Taking care of your skin regularly will prove beneficial over time.

Treat Your Skin Right

The best form of wrinkle prevention is to treat your skin right. Give it the nutrients it needs inside and out, shield it from the sun, and hydrate your body regularly. Best of all, don't worry too much about your skin aging. It is inevitable that we will all age. Worrying about each and every wrinkle you come across will only stress you out and cause more premature aging. Stay happy and relaxed and enjoy life.
