Decorative Freedom: Battery Operated Christmas Lights

By | Mar 1, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Christmas lights are being used more and more often to decorate for any celebration from Christmas parties to weddings and even summer garden parties. Now, with battery operated powered mini lights, decorating has become much easier as there are no wires that need to be hidden. Additionally, battery operated Christmas lights can be used virtually anywhere as they do not require a power source close by.

Battery powered mini lights are ideal to be used in various settings where one doesn't have access to electricity nor do they want to have cables strewn about everywhere. One such case is outdoor weddings where it is difficult to achieve the exact look you want without having extension cables all over the place. For example, if you want table decorations that include Christmas lights, it would mean having an extension cable at each table. In other words, an accident waiting to happen. However, with battery operated Christmas lights one would have the freedom to recreate whatever type of decoration they wished. Even having lit table centerpieces is possible with battery operated lights because there is no need for cables or sockets.

There are many more uses for battery operated Christmas lights, including decorating your home for birthday parties or even a romantic evening with your significant other. Just string up some lights on the deck, open a bottle of wine and settle in together to enjoy the stars.

Battery operated Christmas lights have many advantages over their regular counterparts and not in the least being the fact they require much less power to run. First and foremost, they won't be driving your electric bill up at all because you will be buying batteries, and because they operate on batteries they are usually LED Christmas lights which need 80% less power than incandescent lights. This makes them both cost effective as well as environmentally friendly.

Another advantage to battery operated Christmas lights is that essentially you can hang them up anywhere and in combination with anything. For example, you could make a bouquet of silk flowers wrapped with Christmas lights instead of the usual centerpieces most weddings feature. Or you could string them around the edge of the tablecloth for a truly ethereal look to your wedding reception.

There are so many options and ideas in terms of decorating with battery operated Christmas lights that the sky is the limit. Anywhere regular lights can't reach is where battery operated lights fit in beautifully, or anywhere you would prefer not to have cables in plain sight. As long as you have plenty of batteries on hand, you shouldn't have any trouble. The secret, of course, is to enjoy yourself no matter what decorations you are using. So whether at your wedding, a garden party or for Christmas, remember that the idea is to be with family and friends in celebration. The Christmas lights will look just as wonderful without you ogling them every five seconds and wondering if you should have picked a different color, or a better position.
