Delicious Ground Beef Recipes

Creating delicious and nutritious cuisine can be challenging and yet do-able. Consider making these delicious ground beef recipes that are somewhat easy and very satisfying for breakfast, dinner or lunch. Save money and time by whipping up ground beef meals from scratch; while controlling the sodium, calorie and fat content. Ground beef recipes will “wow” your date, friends or family as you flaunt your creative cooking skills.

Ground Beef Submarine Sandwich:


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons cooking oil
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 8 ounce tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons diced onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peppers
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar or Swiss cheese.
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sauté ground beef and seasonings, pour off fat.
  3. Add tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar, onions and peppers.
  4. Cook for another 5 minutes. Taste test and add needed ingredients.
  5. Slice the bread loaf into half or thirds and also split open lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Spoon ground beef mixture into bread.
  7. Sprinkle the cheese, generously on top.
  8. Bake 15 minutes and serve hot with potato chips and cold beer.

Ground Beef, Ginger and Garlic Stir fry:


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons diced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated orange peel
  • 2 tablespoons Hoison sauce
  • 2 cups cooked rice or egg noodles
  1. Sauté ground beef for two minutes or until browned.
  2. Add onions, ginger, garlic and grated orange peel.
  3. Cook and stir for three minutes.
  4. Blend the orange juice and cornstarch together, thoroughly.
  5. Add the orange juice and Hoison sauce to the beef mixture and cook for two minutes, or until thickened.
  6. Serve the beef stir fry over rice or noodles while hot with Japanese Plum Wine or Sake.

Quick Ground Beef Hash:


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups cubed potatoes
  • ½ cup minced onions
  • 1 teaspoon ground garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Sauté all ingredients in cooking oil for 15 minutes or nicely browned on high heat.
  2. Serve hot with eggs and biscuits for breakfast.

Stuffed peppers and ground beef:


  • 6 bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup finely shredded cheddar sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sauté ground beef until browned then set aside.
  3. Place rice and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium low. Cover for 20 minutes.
  4. Cut the bell peppers in half, lengthwise. Clean out the middle membrane and seeds, wash and dry.
  5. Place the bell peppers, hollow side up in a baking dish with ½” of water.
  6. Combine the beef, rice, 8 ounces tomato sauce and ½ of seasonings and mix together, thoroughly.
  7. Taste test and add any needed seasonings.
  8. Spoon into the bell peppers and firmly pat ¼” from the top.
  9. Pour a generous amount of the 8 ounces of sauce mixture (tomato sauce and seasonings) on top of stuffed peppers.
  10. Sprinkle the finely shredded cheddar cheese atop of the sauce.
  11. Bake for one hour, watch closely.
  12. Cool 10 minutes before serving with a light salad and red wine.

Italian Meatloaf with Ricotta:


  • 2 pounds freshly ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups cubed stale bread
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon diced green onions or scallions
  • ½ diced carrots
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg.
  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cubed Mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and oil baking dish.
  2. Sauté in oil the beef, onions, carrots, nutmeg, salt and pepper for 5 minutes.
  3. Soak the bread cubes in milk briefly.
  4. Mix with your hands in a bowl: the cooled beef mixture, eggs, bread, parsley and Ricotta cheese.
  5. Add half of the Parmesan and all of the Mozzarella cheeses.
  6. Pour into an oiled baking dish and mold into a rectangular loaf.
  7. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake for 60 minutes.
  10. Cool and serve while hot with a Caesar salad and favorite wine.
