Lifesmart Portable Space Heater Bring Warmth to Chilly Places in Your Home

My husband and I got married right out of college back in 1987. We always had dreams of owning a nice home to raise a family, and in 1994, we bought the house that we live in today. While it was everything we wanted at the time, we had visions for expansion. Since we were both working full-time, we would bank my salary and live on his. By doing this, we could save for the improvements we wanted to do to our home, as well as stash away money we would need when I was finally able to stay at home full time with our children.

One of the improvements we both dreamed about was a sunroom. My husband suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder, and he would get into a funk every winter. Add to this his 60-70 an hour work week, and he needed a place to just unwind and get some sunshine.

In 1998, we had finally saved up enough money to have our addition put onto the house. There was one major decision we had to make, and that was whether or not to make it a three season room or a four season room. Adding heat, which would make the room useable all winter, was an additional $10,000 and money that we did not have. So we made the choice to build it as a three season room.

We can use the sunroom in winter, but mostly in the afternoon. The sun heats it up nicely, but there is still a chill in the air, and when the sun goes down, the temperature drops like a rock. If it is a cloudy winter day, the room stays very chilly.

Over the years, we have purchased different space heaters to warm up the sunroom. My husband loves to sit in there in the winter to watch football, basketball, hockey, and any other sport that happens to be on television. But the games last longer than the sunshine, and he does not want to leave the room and come back into the house. But many of the space heaters we had purchased were inefficient and did not heat the room adequately.

He decided to invest in a really good space heater, and after doing a ton of research, he decided on the Lifesmart Deluxe Infrared Heater, which heats rooms up to 1500 square feet. This is larger than the space of our sunroom, so it should be better than sufficient.

Why is This the Best Space Heater We have Ever Owned?

There are several reasons he is such a big fan of this space heater. First, it works! The sunroom is nice and warm when the game begins, and it gives the room added heat for those overcast days. At sundown, the room stays warm and permits him to watch the games without having to come back into the house, where it is noisy.

It also has man's best friend, a remote control. He can adjust the temperatures, as well as turn it on and off, with just the touch of a button. It even has a timer setting.

This unit is also well made and very attractive. It looks just like a piece of furniture, unlike those long, rectangular space heaters of my youth.

The space heater is also portable. It has wheels, so it glides and will not scratch the floor. When it is not in use in the sunroom, we move it to the adjacent family room or in the kitchen, where my computer is located. It keeps me nice and warm as I type away during the winter.

Overall, I highly recommend the Lifesmart Deluxe Infrared Heater. If you are looking for a way to stay warm without raising your heating bill considerably, this one is worth checking out.
