Dieting Weight Loss Confession: Does Fat Weigh More Than Muscle?

Jenny, 39 years old

Like most plus size women, I do what I can to look good despite my extra layers of fat. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. There are times I think weighing myself is like torturing myself.

I always keep my fingers crossed and pray for a miracle before I step on the weighing scale. Everytime, the numbers seem to go upwards and never in the opposite direction. I have to say that I have never really tried dieting per se. There are days when all I do is to eat a little less. A while back my boyfriend took a look at me in the shower and said, "does fat weigh more than muscle?".

I stopped and stared at him for a second and threw the soap I had in my hand at him. He walked away laughing and I felt really upset and also I wondered about the question, does fat weight more than muscle. Why would my boyfriend want to know if fat weighs more than muscle? Was he just trying to make fun of me?

I don't really take to kindly to any type of comments about my weight. I took my frustration out on him later that day. I did a google search about the question, does fat weight more than muscle and the answer is "No".

My boyfriend is taller and naturally has more muscle than me. I weigh more than him and he knows it. When I later confronted him about the question and why he wanted to know if fat weighs more than muscle. He sheepishly said, "just asking"!

That reply just made me more angry and I decided I was going to prove that I can lose weight and build up my muscle. That was about six months ago and I am still at the same stage. I wish I could say that I weigh so much because of all the muscle I have.

Reviewing Weight Watchers ProPoint Dieting Plan

Frances, 39 years old

When the new weight watchers propoint dieting plan came out, I was intrigued like a of women trying to lose weight. I have tried to lose weight in the past but it just doesn't seem to work for me.

I dont' think I am obese but I know I can do with losing a few pounds. I decided I was going to give the new weight watchers pro point dieting plan a try. My review of the pro point dieting plan didn't go that far. That is because of a personal issue I have had to deal with all my life. I have great plans and want to achieve a lot but I never tend to go through with most things I set out to do.

I wanted to review the weight watchers pro point dieting plan but after reading what I need to do, I was discouraged and didn't even start. I know I need to do something about my weight but I lack the will to do so. I have to say that I have been depressed for as long as I can remember. When ever I am down, I eat more to comfort myself. I like to eat alone and eat what I know I am not supposed to. I  read a lot and I have read books on dieting and how to lose weight. The problem with a bookworm trying to lose weight with weight watchers pro point plan is that I read when I am eating and I eat when I am reading. I know all I have to do is whatever I want without going over the daily weight watchers pro points but I am too lazy to stick with it. I probably eat all the points needed for a family of four

Paleolithic Diet and My Belly Fat

Mary Jane, 41 years old

A friend once suggested I tried paleolithich diet because I was trying to lose weight and shift my belly fat. The strange thing about losing weight with any for of dieting plan is that you get used to your new size and you compare yourself to bigger or fatter women. A diet that sounds really complicated is not something that appeals to me. When my friend mentioned paleolithic diet as a way to lose my belly fat, I thougth it was something like the weight watchers pro point plan that you can just drink a shake and you are done. I had to actually look up the word in order to understand what a paleo diet is. It means that I have to eat like the cavemen.

I am willing to try any dieting or weight loss plan but, how am I going go cook and eat like cavemen? I told my plus size husband about my decision to try a new paleolithic diet in order to lose weight. He look at me and said, "if it means eating raw food, you are on your own". He was not very supportive of my desire to try out my new paleolithic diet. Normally when I go dieting, I take the whole family with me.

I have not achieved that much since that fateful conversation. We still eat our frozen pizza and fast food. I don't always feel guilty about eating and I know my dieting is not going to according to plan. I don't really have a plan.

I tried my caveman paleolithic diet by boiling and eating  fish without any additives. I just boiled the fish and ate it. It didn't taste anything like what I have ever eaten and I wonder if the cavemen did boil their fish or fry them. This is not really a dieting weight loss confession but more of my failure to have a dieting plan and sticking to it. Paleolithic diet is not that tasty and I don't think it will work for me.

Dieting Weight Loss Confession: Struggle with Exercise for Inner Thighs

Sheila, 41 years old

I am not very tall and have a small upper body. I am not bothered about my height but what really bugs me is the big inner thighs I have. This is a problem because anytime I wear trousers, my thighs will rub against each other and the friction not only cause pain but also ruin my clothing.

I cannot remember how many trousers I have had to throw away over the years. I have struggled with finding appropriate exercise for inner thighs. I have tried, jogging, weight training with my legs but I just cannot get any of these exercise for inner thighs to reduce the friction caused. Dieting with weight watchers is something I have also tried. I am a bit lazy when it comes to sticking to my dieting plan but that is just me.

I cannot remember the last time I wasn't fat. Some will say that the best thing to lose my inner thigh fat will be to eat less and go on a radical diet. This is of course easier said than done. Some of us just cannot lose weight like the celebrities often do.

It is often nice to know that I am not alone in this situation of trying to exercise for inner thigh weight loss. I try to accept my situation for what it is, however, it can be really frustrating when others are able to lose weight; lose their inner thigh fat and you feel that you are the only left in the world.
