Direct Deposit When You Are On The Chexsystem

You might be reading this article because you need to get direct deposit and cannot because you are on the chexsystem. I know I have been there and know all to well how hard it is to get a checking account or a savings if you are on the system.

What I want to share is there are ways of getting around the chexsystem and I will share two ways that I am aware of.

First there are banks that have what is called a second chance checking account. Most of them to not share this in the public. What I suggest is doing a search on the web first and than making calls to your local banks to see who offers this option. I have had to give up jobs because at the time I had no idea I could get a checking account and be on the chexsystem.

Next step would be to open a prepaid debit card. Most of them work just like a checking and have routing numbers too so you can set up a direct deposit too. I know that not all people know this and felt this would be a great article to share online for people that may be in the situation where they cannot get a checking. Or at least they feel they cannot because they are on the chexsystem. There are other ways that might help you when in need of direct deposit. You could ask a trusted friend or family member to help as well. I would only do this as a last resort and it must be someone you have a lot of trust in as well.
