Dirt Road chicken soup
This is a very good chicken soup both for taste and helps you feel better when you have a cold or flu. It has a spicy edge to it and a great taste. I find it very soothing for days when you have a sore throat. This is gluten free dish for those who need one.
Ingredients:
4 Chicken bullion cubes.
4 cups of water
¾ cup cooked chopped chicken
1/2 cup frozen corn
1 medium carrot shredded.
1/2 cup diced onions.
1/4 cup of pickled jalapeños juice and all (you want more juice than peppers)
¾ cup of chopped peppers the more varieties of peppers the better it tastes.
1/4 cup brown rice
1/4 cup quick grits
1/2 cup of celery
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon honey
A dash of dill seed
In a medium sized pot add water bullion cubes. Bring to a slow boil.
Add brown rice, grits, carrots, onions, celery, garlic, and peppers as well as pickled jalapenos peppers with its juice.
Stir as required.
Add spices which include soy, sage, white pepper, and dill seed.
Simmer until the mixture begins to thicken.
Add chopped peppers corn chicken and honey.
Bring back to a boil, shut off heat and let stand for fifteen minutes.
The soup should be thick and have a nice hot, sweet and sour taste.
I'm getting hungry now.
I have added can of mushrooms, black olives, green onions, and modified the taste.
If you like it a little hotter add more white pepper. If its too hot add a little more honey.

I couldn't imagine eating this. I'm not a soup fan really. More of a stew eater. But this mix of food I do believe would definitely clear you right up fast. I really like the name too. "Dirt Road Soup" Perfect.
