Full Review

The newest adaption of Charles Dickens classic tale is a great family movie. Great as in the movie is excellent for children to watch. The story line is similar to the other adaptions we have seen. Although the story line is similar it is not the most exciting variation of the Charles Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol".

The way the story was laid out had me bored 5 minutes into the film. The boredom with the storyline continued until 5 minutes before the end. I was bored with the story, not the movie.

This version of "A Christmas Carol" kept me entranced with the amazing graphics. The flyovers over England, the detailed buildings, the amazing facial gestures of Ebenezer Scrooge, and every other aspect. The imagery of this Christmas film is unparalleled.

I did not see the film in an IMAX theater. If I had the imagery of the film would be even more spectacular. Disney's A Christmas Carol used motion capture for the animations and graphics. Motion capture was the technique previously used by Disney in their Christmas movie "Polar Express"

Many times I suggest people wait until a movie is released on DVD to watch it. Disney's A Christmas Carol is a movie that needs to be seen in the theater so you can experience the amazing imagery of this movie.

In Closing

This movie is one you should take your family to go see this holiday season in your local movie theater. Don't expect to be impressed by the story line but you will be blown away by the imagery.
