Do Pretty People Get What They Want?

Some studies have shown that pretty people tend to get what they want more than those that are not as attractive. Here are the many reasons why pretty people tend to get what they want a lot more easily or faster than those that are not deemed as pretty.

1. People are dazzled: Some people tend to be dazzled by a person who has very good looks. This is because they either want to be that person or they are enamored by how pretty they look. Also some people want to look more like them and so they tend to be very impressed.

2. People are attracted: Many people are attracted to others that are very pretty. Therefore, they usually tend to let pretty people get what they want. For example in a bar a lot of bartenders tend to help the more attractive person rather than helping the less attractive person. Or, at a store, some store clerks will tend to help the person that is more attractive because they think that that person would buy more clothes. Sometimes this is because people are attracted to beautiful things. This attraction allows a person who was pretty to more easily get what they are looking for.

3. People are impressed: Some people tend to get very impressed by a person who was pretty. They believe that that person was born with better genes or that the person has some sort of secret. They want to know the secret so that they too can look like that. So they are impressed by how that person looks and allow them to get what you want.

4. People are intimidated: Oftentimes, people become more intimidated by somebody that looks better than them. This is because many people spend a lot of time trying to look better. They wonder how they can do this and so they become more intimidated by those that have achieved this. Sometimes people are just naturally pretty, but other people are not a pretty. Still, this makes those that are not as good-looking very intimidated by those that are.

5. People want to be like that: Newspapers, magazines, and TV shows have made pretty people out to be more than they are. It is no secret that magazine and TV shows tend to cover pretty people a lot. They try to show people how to look like that. They try to show people how to dress better and look more beautiful. This influences a lot of people and tends to make people want to be like that. The media has played a big hand in making us believe that beauty is very important. Lots of times you only see beautiful people on TV shows. More regular looking people don't tend to be chosen and therefore people don't think that those people should get what they want.

So, pretty people can get people to do what you want. But, if you don't let them, then maybe they won't always get what you wanted.
