Does Wax Vac Work?

By Edited Apr 28, 2015 0 0

Who wouldn't want a vacuum that can suck all the wax out of your ears, effortlessly and painlessly?  I know I would!

When I first watched this commercial on tv in the wee hours of the morning, I jumped out of bed, called the number on the screen and made the purchase.  Afterall, it looked pretty nifty and almost a no brainer to me.  Affordable, convenient.... made a lot of sense to me.

If you remember, the commercial shows folks using this Wax Vac to gently suck wax out of their ears.  They are all smiling and apparantly pleased with their results.  The price they are selling for is $10. plus p/h, and you even get a bonus one for FREE.  All you pay is p/h.  All around, looked like a good deal.

But wait....

The results I achieved with Wax Vac were far from what I anticipated, and far from what was advertised.

1.  This device was really loud.  It sounded like a little vacuum, and the sound of course did not feel great when it was inside your ear.

2.  It simply did not suck.  It didn't have the power to suck anything.  I knew that it would have to have just the right amount of suction to suck the wax, but not enough to make it unsafe.  But mine (neither the first one or the free one) had no where near enough power to do anything.

3.  The price point was good as far as getting 2 for the price of 1, but really since neither one worked properly, it was a total waste of money.

After my total dissatisfaction with the results I achieved with the Wax Vac, I went online and found a great alternative product that had really high reviews on Amazon.  It is called the Elephant Ear Wash system.  Since it was priced a bit higher than the Wax Vac, I was a bit hesitant to try it, but boy oh boy, has this one given me much better results!  This thing works using water pressure.

In my opinion, if you are on the fence about whether to purchase the Wax Vac or not, I would advise you to keep your money.

However, if you do need to find a good product that will actually remove the wax from your ears, I would recommend that you take a look at the Elephant Ear Wash system.  There will be a link for it below that will allow you to take a better look at it for yourself on Amazon.
