Dr. Oz's Safflower Oil "Use A Fat To Lose Belly Fat" Weight Loss Program

By Edited Sep 16, 2015 0 0

Lose Belly Fat Fast On Your Weight Loss Program With Safflower Oil? Really?

Can you really lose weight quickly using the new controversial method?  According to a recent study, you can lose weight quickly when you add safflower oil to your best weight loss program.  A recent study by Ohio State University, which appeared in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition lends credibility to this claim. Dr. Oz himself did a recent interview with Montel Williams who sings praises about the use of this miracle product to lose weight quickly. According to Montel Williams, in his interview with Dr. Oz, you can lose inches off your waist without dieting and exercising just by taking safflower supplements.  Dr. Oz usually appeals to men and women or the world through magazines-especially women's magazines, television and his website to be proactive about losing weight and getting healthy.

The Weight Loss Study Results From Ohio State University

In this study performed by Ohio State University "TWO DIETARY OILS, TWO SETS OF BENEFITS FOR OLDER WOMEN WITH DIABETES", 55 participants participants are given safflower oil and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid-which has been promoted as a weight loss supplement after studies found it could be helpful), over two 16 week time frames. After the end of the study, the researchers found out that those taking safflower oil lost a much greater percentage of belly fat as compared to those who were taking the CLA.

Take these results with a grain of salt because:

  • 20 of the participants dropped out by the end of the study
  • The study only included older women with type II diabetes
  • Even though there were some adverse effects of using Safflower oil, those effects were not reported properly.

Therefore, some questions still persists? How does Safflower oil affect weightloss in pre-menapausal-younger women, men, teens and those who don't have type II diabetes?

According to Dr. Russell H. Greenfield, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine, you should NOT rush out to add safflower to your weight loss program.  He suggests you wait until there more research, as the results that have been publicized were from one study, which had many flaws.

Stick To A Good Weight Loss Program To Lose Weight Effectively

Be careful of thinking that there is a magic wand you can wave to take away your belly fat. Unfortunately with the power of the media, sometimes the way things are hyped up, you are lead to believe just that.  Unless you have surgery to take away your belly fat, you have to pretty much do the same standard things to lose weight.  Namely, the opposite of what you did to gain all the weight in the first place. Yes, there are small tricks that you can add to your regimen to enhance your weight loss program to get faster results, however, you are not going to drop a bunch of belly fat overnight permanently. You have to make a plan, and stick with that weight loss plan.

Meet With A Nutritionist

If you have a lot of weight to lose, one of the first things you should do is meet with a nutritionist.  Just ask Ms. South Carolina, Bree Boyce, who used a 1600 calorie diet that she formulated with the help of a nutritionist to lose 110 pounds.  Many insurances will pay for you to visit with a nutritionist, especially if you are overweight.  You can also check Cleveland Clinic Online Nutrition Consultation service and see if they can help you put together a meal and diet plan. Surely, if supplementing with safflower oil will help in your weight loss program, your nutritionist will be able to help you incorporate it in a healthy way.

Get A Set Weight Loss Plan And Stick With It

Get a good book on weighloss.  There are many, many books that have advise, menus and a complete weight loss plan that you can follow step by step.

There are also natural weight loss pills made from green tea and garlic or even African mango that can help you along with your weight loss goals. Always check with your doctor before starting any weight loss regimen, taking natural weight loss or diet pills or doing strenuous exercise.

Include Some Form Of Exercise

Almost every weight loss expert agrees, that to get the most out of your best weight loss program, you should include some form of exercise.  Some of the best forms of exercise for those who don't like to exercise is walking (especially power-walking), swimming or riding a bicycle.  You can even get a treadmill if the great outdoors is just not your thing.  The idea is to get some sort of exercise each and every day.

The SafSlim Product On Amazon And QVC

It has been reported that the product that Montel Williams uses is SafSlim.  Safslim is all over QVC and is being plugged as a quick weight loss supplement.  It is up to your whether you choose to try SafSlim, but if you do, make sure you have realistic expectations.  Just remember, there is really no such thing as a "magic wand in a bottle."

Before You Start Your Weight Loss Plan

Often, before starting a weight loss plan, many people often go through a period of detoxification.  Detoxification programs can include supplements, or soup diets such as Louise Gittleman's Fat Flush Soup Diet, or Dr. Oz's New Years Belly Blasting Soup or his Turbo Diet Soup pre-weight loss detox programs.

You may also find Dr. Oz's Weight Loss Commandments and Dr. Oz's Weight Loss Discoveries 2012-African Mango, useful when you embark on finding your best weight loss program.  They are simple yet practical ways of losing the weight quickly and keeping it off.  Also, it is always a good idea to keep a food journal whenever you embark on  your best weight loss program.

Note: Always make sure you check with  your doctor before starting any new weight loss program.
