A lot of people intuitively know there is something about their dreams but can't quite put their finger on it! Why would mother nature make us see these random things while we sleep?

Contrary to common belief, dreams are not random at all; they pertain to and represent things occurring in our lives. How to Start Your Dream Analysis

The best approach is to record your dreams soon after while you still remember them because you are likely to forget them later on in the day. The quickest way to do this would be to note down the things that stand out to you the most from the dream.

It's a good idea to use some kind of dream journal so that you have a nice log of your dreams that you can refer to when trying to spot patterns. You will also want to record down the interpretation of the dream next to it, and there are many free online resources you can use for this such as dream dictionary now.

Things to Look out For

Even though each dream is different, there are some common things to look out for in your dream, so you may want to think about the following:

  • What happened in the dream?
  • What was the mood or tone of the Dream? For example, did you feel angry, jealous, happy, etc.
  • What situation did you encounter? For example, were there unfortunate circumstances taking place, were you experiencing luck, temptation, risk taking, etc.

Digging Deeper into the Dream

You can dig even deeper into your dream and this will help when using a dream dictionary. You may want to think about the following:

  • Did you come across symbols, objects or numbers in the dream?
  • Were there any particular sounds or colours that stood out in the dream?
  • What characters were in the dream and their roles and emotions?
  • Can you find any links between the dreams and events taking place in your life?

Once you get into the habit of noting down your dreams and looking up the meanings of them, you will overtime start to see patterns across different dreams and then really start to see what part of your life they are trying to deal with.

It may seem like a task, but take it one step at a time. You don't have to analyze your dreams every single day, just make sure you at least take key points down from your dreams when you remember them so that whenever you wish to interpret them you have the information to hand.
