Earn Residual Income: A Reality
Do you have the ability to earn residual income? Well, if you are reading this, you can write. If you can write, take pictures or build websites then you can earn residuals on your work. They key is to find something that you are good at and enjoy doing. This way it won't seem like work and you will be willing to do it in your down time. Eventually many people are able to leave their full time jobs and live off of residuals. This can be a possibility but it will take a lot of work to get there.
Let's start off by defining what residual income is. Residual income is income earned after the initial product is produced. Musicians earn residual income, or royalties, every time one of their songs is played on the radio. This is how they survive off of a stream of income after they have finished producing music.
We can earn residual income by writing articles, creating websites or posting our photography online. We can do one or all of these and it is free to join. Why would something like this be free to join? When we write an article or post a picture on a website, we are helping that website to attract online traffic. This online traffic then proceeds to click on related ads found within the writing. By clicking on these ads, the website owners are earning money from Google or other advertisement companies. The author or website owner gets a portion of what was paid to the advertisement company for getting targeted traffic to click on ads. This is how we make our residuals and there are a great many sites offering to pay us for posting our work with them.
While you can earn residual income in a variety of ways, I believe that the most lucrative way to earn it is to write online articles. You can write as many articles as you like and get paid for each one. But after we write our articles, how do we get people to view them. Most of the time the article submission sites will include a community to interact with. This acts as a way to get your work noticed rather quickly. You can also gain insight from people on how to improve your writing and tips on how to promote your work. No matter how big the writing community is, it will never be as big as Google.
Search engine optimization is a topic for another article but you will need to embrace it if you want your work to get found. This goes for photography as well. With the many different ways to earn residual income online, it is amazing that more people aren't doing it. They probably don't know where to start.
