Sometimes it feels as if every muscle in your body aches. This usually happens when you do too much or are involved in an activity that uses muscles that you aren't accustomed to using. Whether it's lifting heavy boxes, moving starting a new work out program or gardening, those muscles ache. Muscle aches are very common and has probably happened to just about everyone at some time. Most times muscle aches are not a cause for concern. If your muscle aches last for more than 2 or 3 days, see your doctor to rule out another cause. There are some very effective natural remedies to ease common muscle aches.

Things You Will Need

apple cider vinegar, baking soda, olive oil

Step 1

Fill your bathtub with very warm water. Make the water as warm as possible for you to sit in it comfortably. Add 2 to 3 cups of apple cider vinegar to the bath water. Keep your aching muscles in the warm bath for at least 30 minutes.


Add 1 cup of baking soda to your bath water and relax for the next 30 minutes.

Step 2

Pour olive oil into the palms of your hands and rub your hands together vigorously to warm the olive oil. Massage the olive oil into your aching muscles. It's even better if you can have someone massage your muscles for you.

Step 3

Sit or lay in a relaxed position for 20 to 30 minutes. Do stretching exercises. Gently and slowly reach for your toes. Gently and slowly reach up. Keep the stretches gentle and slow. The stretches will keep your muscles from tightening and causing more muscle aches.

A warm bath is one of the best ways to soothe aching muscles. As soon as you are finished with an activity that you suspect with cause your muscles to ache, get in a bathtub with apple cider vinegar or baking soda before the muscle aches become worse.
