Gather the ingredients to make an easy dinner recipe.

1 tbsp. olive oil

1 lb. size package of smoked sausage

1 medium size onion

1 large green pepper

2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni

1 can (14 1/2 oz. size) French style green beans, drained

1 3/4 cups Mexican style cheddar jack cheese, shredded

Let's cook!

Measure the olive oil, and place it in a pan (10 inch size) that can be used on top of the range and in the oven, too.

Slice the smoked sausage into equal slices, about 3/8 inches thick. Place slices in the pan, and cook on a low heat. Stir to brown the meat on all sides.

Prepare the onion and green pepper, and chop into 1/2 inch chunks. Add the onions and green peppers to the sausage in the pan. Cook together about eight minutes, while the macaroni is cooking.

Measure the elbow macaroni, and cook according to the directions on the box.

Use a spoon to dip out any excess grease in the sausage pan. (Dispose of this grease. [Do not pour the grease down the sink drain, since an accumulation of grease will clog your drain.])

Drain the elbow macaroni, and gently stir it into the sausage, peppers and onions.

Stir the drained can of French style green beans into the above mixture.

Blend the cheese into the mixture, saving some to sprinkle on the top of the casserole.

Bake the easy dinner recipe in a preheated 350-degree oven, about 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
