By Edited Jul 30, 2015 0 0

Many mothers decide to get a part time job to make extra money or to get out of the house. The fact that more mothers are taking part time jobs has created work at home opportunities so they can make the additional money from the convenience of the home.

The one important factor to think about is to find a creditable company to work for that will pay for the services and not be a scam which is one of the biggest challenges for anyone wanting to work from home.

To find legitimate businesses for the work at home project begin by doing research about the type of work you want to do. There are many different types of work such as typing accounting telecommunications and freelance writing. Any of these jobs are easily found on different websites that offer work for moms wanting to work part time.

One of widely used websites for part time work is Craigslist. This is a national job-posting site where you search for jobs that can be performed out of the home or in a company as a part time job.

Begin by creating an updated resume. Create the resume in Microsoft Word since this is the universal accepted format. You list your job employment history education history and job tasks you have performed or specialized doing.

There are free templates for examples on microsoft.com if you need a professional template or example. Download the template and fill in your personal information.

To begin your search go to the Craigslist website. Enter your state and city of desired work. Look in the categories for "work from home". You will get a listing of the available jobs in your area or jobs you can apply for that may meet your needs.

Review the listings of jobs. Select one you are interested in doing and send your resume to the employer. Wait for the employer to contact you. You may want to apply for several jobs so you have more options for your part time job.

If you want to work from home and be your own boss, you should consider becoming a blogger. I am doing this myself through The Niche Blogger. It is run by a stay at home mother and it has been a huge support to me.
