In a bad economy or any economy for that matter, we are all looking for easy ways to earn money. We could use money for a new this and an extra that. We could ask for a raise, but if you just got one or can't get one, you have to find other ways to earn money.

Here are a few easy ways to earn money that you can do. You don't have to have any special skills, just a little extra time and a willingness to work for it. Check out these ideas, try them out, and see how much you can make. These are just a few easy ways to earn money. They just might spark up some ideas of your own!

Sell Extra Stuff

If you took a look around your house, would you find any extra stuff that you never use? I'm sure you could find a ton of extra stuff that you really don't need. It is just sitting there taking up space when it can be earning you money. There are a couple things you can do with this stuff.

First, look at the value of your items. If you have a lot of high value items that you want to get rid of, you could probably make more money with them one place than another. Put aside items that you think you can make more money online.

Then, take the rest and sell it at a yard sale. A yard sale is a great way to make a good amount of money in a day or so. If you don't have a lot of stuff, don't bother, but if you have a good amount of stuff that you think people will actually buy, go ahead and sell it. If you only have a few things, you might want to consider having a joint yard sale with a few friends.

Think about your location. If you live on a busy road, you can have a yard sale at your home. If not, try to find someone who lives at a high traffic place that will let you use their yard for a yard sale. Also, make sure you advertise in the newspaper and put up some signs around the neighborhood and around town if you can.

If you don't want to have a yard sale, you can sale things on ebay. You would probably be more likely to sell higher value items online that are actually in demand. At a yard sale, people will spend 25 cents or a couple dollars on things whereas people wouldn't bother with those items on ebay unless they were rare, collectibles, or a really good deal.

Get Another Job

If that doesn’t work out or if you need more money on a consistent basis, you might need to get another job. If you thinking working two jobs is just too stressful, that's not necessarily true. Having a second job could be stressful, but it doesn't have to be.

Think about how much extra money you want to be making. If you have a skilled job, try to get a part time job that is similarly skilled where you can get paid more per hour. If a job has a lot of hours and you would earn more than you need, don't stress yourself out by working more hours. This isn't a job you absolutely need. If you want to get away from your day job for a bit, consider working a job that is completely different. This can be a nice change of pace and might make working a little bit less stressful.

A temp agency can help you get all kinds of work from a full time job to a one day job. This is a great way to earn a little extra money quickly or find a good job that is temporary to hire.

By using a temp agency, you can accept any jobs you want and turn them down, too. Some jobs will be part time, full time, or one time. Of course, if you already have a full time job, you won't be able to do day jobs. You can usually choose between office-type jobs and labor jobs. For example, you might be able to get a job where you help with a catering business one afternoon. This is a one time thing and you get paid pretty quickly. You don't have to pay to use a temp agency, the employers pay the agency to find them work.

Do Odd Jobs

Another easy way to earn money is by doing odd jobs. You don't necessarily need to start a business or work all the time, but if you find work, go for it. You can do any kind of odd jobs such as cleaning houses, babysitting, mowing lawns, other landscaping, painting houses, etc. If you have any kind of skill to offer someone else, help them out and get paid for it!

Who knows, this might turn into pretty consistent work. It can be an extra job where you make some good money. For example, you could build up a pretty big client base of kids to babysit on a regular basis and make good money doing it. If you need more money, consider turning your odd jobs into a side business.

If you can't find something here that suits you, be creative and think of something else. Any of these ideas can be taken further into a business. You could try all of them if you want.
