Edible Cookie Dough

Baking cookies can be very fun and delicious, but sometimes the most delicious part of the whole process can be eating the raw cookie dough! Unfortunately most cookie dough contains raw eggs and is not preferred for you to eat. In this article, I will teach you 3 easy to make at home eggless and edible cookie dough.

Recipe 1 :  Double Chocolate Chip Edible Cookie Dough

Ingredients: 

  • 3/4 cup of unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup of superfine or caster sugar (you can use regular sugar as well)
  •  1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract 
  • 1/8 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (more or less depending on how many are desired)

Directions:

  1.  Start with a large mixing bowl. add in your softened butter, regular sugar, brown sugar, salt, cocoa powder and vanilla together until well combined
  1. Next slowly add in you flour and continue to stir the mixture until you have the desired doughy texture.
  2. Lastly mix in your chocolate chips as desired.

Recipe 2: Peanut Butter Edible Cookie Dough 

  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoons of vanilla extract 
  • 1/4 cup of peanut butter (chunky or smooth will work so pick your favorite!)
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons of milk

Directions:

  1. Start with a large mixing bowl. add in your softened butter, brown sugar, regular sugar, salt, peanut butter and vanilla together until well combined
  2. Next add you 1-1/2 teaspoons of milk and slowly add in your flour. Continue to stir the mixture until the you get the desired doughy texture.

Remember now, these recipes are intended to be eaten raw and not baked. they do not contain baking powder, baking soda, or eggs. 

The best way to store and save the cookie dough is to roll it into small 2 in balls and place on a tray in the refrigerator. this is especially helpful if you are making them for a party as you would already have them on a plate or tray to be served on.
