Effective Carpet Stain Removal Tips

Stains definitely don't belong on beautifully designed and expensive carpets! As such, I have written this article on carpet stain removal with the intention of teaching you some simple tricks on removing carpet stains before they turn into an eyesore. For all the types of carpet stains that are discussed below, you should make sure you read the instructions and closely follow the instructions provided by the carpet manufacturer. Chocolate and Soft Drink Stains

  • To begin with, you should try to remove as much of the stain as possible by using a dull knife to scrape at those stained spots. Next, you can neutralize the stain by using an ammonia solution. Remember to use a spray bottle of carpet cleaning solution to saturate the stained spots and use white paper towels to blot any excess moisture.
  • Next, you will have to apply a bit of detergent solution onto the stained areas. While using the carpet stain remover agent, you need to continue blotting those stained spots on the carpet with a white paper towel.
  • To rinse the area, you must use a spray bottle to spray top water onto the area. Next, blot those spots to remove the excess moisture from the carpet! After rinsing, you can spray the stained area lightly with water and apply paper towels to absorb the excess moisture.
  • If there are still some leftover stains, you must moisten the stained area with 4% of hydrogen peroxide and let it remain for around an hour or two. Repeat this process until the stain removal from carpet is complete. Next, just apply some paper towels onto the area and use a brick to weigh them down.
Coffee and Beer Stains
  • Before you remove carpet stains, you will have to use a white paper towel to blot the stained areas to remove as much of the stains as possible. Next, use a spray bottle containing white vinegar solution to neutralize and saturate the area. The white vinegar solution is one of the most effective carpet stain removers available on the market. Remember to blot to drain off excess moisture from the carpet.
  • Now apply a bit of detergent solution onto the stained area. Make sure you utilize a blotting motion to allow the detergent to be fully absorbed into the affected areas. Repeat this process until you have remove carpet stain totally. You can use a spray bottle containing tap water to rinse the area.
  • Once that is done, you can spray the area again with some water. But this time round, do not blot to remove the excess moisture.
  • If there are still some stubborn carpet stains that cannot be removed, then you will need to moisten those stained spots with 4% of hydrogen peroxide and let it remain for around an hour or two. Repeat this carpet stains removal process until all the stains are completely removed.
