Black Friday Deals - Don't Miss Out

The hype is on for the biggest and most looked forward to shopping day of the year. The Friday after Thanksgiving or “Black Friday” as it is known is a day when retailers announce spectacular deals to kick off the Christmas shopping season.

Black Friday is filled with crowds and spending. Consumers traditionally will hit the stores way before 8:00 a.m. to scoop up all the best deals. Dedicated shoppers have been known to camp out with tents and sleeping bags to secure the best spots in lines. You will find that some stores open at midnight in anticipation of the big crowds of shoppers.

In order to get the most out of your black Friday shopping, you’ll want to be well prepared for the day both physically and mentally. Here is a list of Black Friday shopping tips so you won’t miss out on all the steals and deals of the day.

  1. Create a list of the items you are hoping to snag and plan your shopping accordingly. You’ll want to be one of the first in line to get the best offers of Black Friday. Most stores offers early door-buster sales for Black Friday but they seldom last longer than the first hour.  Take the Black Friday store ads with you so if there is any discrepancy you have backup information. Also bring along any coupons that may used  with your purchases and let the Black Friday savings add up.
  2. Know all the details regarding Door Buster sales on Black Friday. What time do the sales start and end? What are the store hours? How many of each item can you buy? It pays to be prepared on Black Friday.
  3. Research the items you are hoping to purchase before the big day arrives. You can compare prices to see how great of a deal it is. Read reviews of the big ticket items you may be purchasing to make sure that the deal is worth the trip.
  4. Stores have become quite organized as to how they handle Black Friday shoppers. They have procedures on the best deals and you’ll want to be aware of them. Stores don’t want trampled workers or shoppers as part of the Black Friday hoopla.  It will help if you know the store procedures regarding the sales they are offering.
  5. If you see something that is for sale on Black Friday it is best to pick it up then. If you wait hoping for a further drop in price, it probably won’t happen and you’ll miss out on the deal.
  6. Take a friend with you for the big shopping day. Not only will they keep you company but they can help you score some deals. Black Friday shopping is better in numbers and more fun.
  7. The best deals of the day are the first ones. If you miss out going early, you probably will be better off waiting until the crowds die down.  You’ll find that the evening of Black Friday is pretty quiet and you can still find plenty of discounted specials.
  8. If you would rather not fight the crowds, you can get some great Black Friday specials online too. Spend some time searching the web for deals just after midnight and you will find great prices on Christmas gifts. You can also try Facebook and Twitter for Black Friday specials.

Have fun shopping on Black Friday. Hopefully it is a great start to your Holiday season.
