An electric frying pan is an essential tool in the kitchen for any cook, considering its functionality, portability, and ease of use. The electric frying pan's versatility presents the option of cooking meats, veggies, and casseroles for family or guests, in the kitchen at any time of day and for all occasions. The best part of the electric frying pan is how easy it is to cook and clean with because, let's face it, cleaning up after dinner is the part that everyone would prefer to walk away from.

Most electric frying pans are manufactured with stainless steel accentuated with Teflon on the inside of the pans for the non-stick aspect that keeps the food from sticking to it. Equipped with a cover to assist with controlled steaming, low-heat simmering, or high-heat cooking, these pans present the opportunity to create myriads of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and even desserts. The models with the glass cover allows the chef constant monitoring of the food inside the electric frying pan without the inconvenience of removing the lid and possibly jeopardizing the outcome of the food. Most models are made with two handles situated on either side of the pan, making portability from the kitchen to the table swift and trouble-free.

The cooking surfaces of the electric frying pan can vary in shape from square and rectangular to oval and round to accommodate the chef with creating the type of food dish they desire. These frying pans are also manufactured with plentiful space inside for dishes made for larger families or dinner presentations. Three settings are conveniently accessible on the electric frying pan, offering the choices "low", "warm" or "medium" and "high" to control the temperature of the food. The medium or warm setting is useful in keeping the food warm while serving at a get-together, or simply keeping it warm until dinner is ready to be served.

The electric frying pan and your current kitchen utensils should combine well, because the cooking surface in the newer model electric frying pans is made especially for the use metal and plastic utensils. In addition to all of the electric frying pan's perks, it also contains an automatic shut-off feature for safety that can be set manually by the cook to preserve the electric frying pan and the food.

Cleaning the electric pan may pose as a challenge, considering the fact that the electric components are attached to the pan itself. In all reality, cleaning the pan is as simple as 1, 2, and 3. Start by scraping all of the leftover food out of the pan, squirt a drop of dish soap into the part that holds the food, and fill the frying pan halfway with water. Turn the unit on high for about a half an hour, pour out the soapy water, and rinse the inside of the pan. Using paper towels rub the inside and outside of the pan clean.

Electric frying pans can be used at home for dinner every day or for a special dinner at church once in a while, because they can be moved from one place to another with ease. When dinner is finished, the clean up of the electric frying pan takes no time. Electric frying pans are a perfect addition to a kitchen whose owner loves to cook.
