In these reenactments many different weapons are being used. And one of the weapons, that are usually used to simulate machine gunfire, is called the electric powered airsoft gun.

The airsoft guns are replicas of real firearms. Looking exactly like their bullet-firing brothers, only with the exception that they do not in fact shoot actual bullets. These guns used small (6mm to 8mm) plastic pellets to shoot.

Airsoft guns powered by electric are available in both automatic and semi-automatic forms. The gun uses an electric motor that is powered by rechargeable batteries.

These guns, especially the electric powered ones, are readily available to be bought on the web market. The prices vary, but generally range from 150-250 US Dollars.

You should always consider when looking buying an Electric powered airsoft gun, the FPS (Feet Per Second). Because as physics would attest, and as a person would suspect, the higher the FPS the faster and further the pellet will travel. In the general assault, the rifles should have an FPS from 280-400; this will depend on the intended use and size of the battlefield. However, take note that if the gun isn't build to withstand the strain, a higher FPS can cause it to break down much easier than a gun with a lower FPS. The Tokyo Marui guns are commonly accepted as the best on the market, and it has a FPS of only 280, thus this should not be the only consideration when you decide on which gun to buy.
